My name is Martins Bruveris and I am a lecturer in mathematics at Brunel University London. Professionally, I am interested in teaching mathematics to our undergraduate students and researching infinite-dimensional Riemannian geometry in the remaining time. More about my work can be found on my website.
I tried to explain my motivation for starting this blog in the initial post. Both teaching and research are at heart quite rigid forms of communication. Each has its intended audience and follows its set of conventions. Teaching happens via lectures and seminars, lecture notes, assignments and exams. Research is communicated via conference talks, scientific papers and discussions over coffee. My hope is that this blog will be less formal and less constrained.
